Our client, one of the world's leading investment banks, are actively seeking an experienced Credit Analyst – Financial Institutions at AVP/ VP level to join their London office.Key Responsibilities
• Assume responsibility for a portfolio of financial institutions (banks/funds/brokers/sovereigns).
• Review credit risk analysis performed by the Centre of Excellence in Mumbai and assign internal credit ratings on the portfolio.
• Monitor market, regulatory, macro economic and political developments - assessing their impact on the credit quality of counterparties
• Analyse, structure and approve transactions within existing limits or delegated credit authority
• Negotiate or upgrade appropriate documentation
• Maintain strong and pro-active relationships to other departments, esp. Trading & Sales, Legal and Compliance, Market Risk Management and Operations
The ideal candidate will be educated to a degree level with strong Financial Institution Credit Risk management and will ideally have product knowledge, specifically derivatives and other traded products
