An exciting opportunity with a leading consultancyThe Responsibilities
It is anticipated that approximately 75% of the candidates workload would be client facing and 25% on internal projects including thought leadership, briefing, training and marketing.
• Managing / assisting on client-facing advisory engagements.
• Providing accounting and regulatory advice to clients.
• Developing and writing thought-leadership articles and marketing material.
• Assist and arrange the proposals for new work.
• Providing training to clients.
• Assisting in client training.
• Advising on transactions.
• Assisting audit teams with technical issues.
The Individual
The successful candidate is likely to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
• Previous experience of insurance companies, preferably within a Chartered Accountancy firm or insurance organisation.
• An ACA or ACCA accounting qualification is essential.
• Very strong technical accounting skills, with a knowledge of Solvency II and current FSA regulations an advantage.
• The ability to think through issues and arrive at solutions.
• Good interpersonal skills, both client and internal facing.
• The ability to deliver engagements from start to finish.
• A thirst to learn more about the insurance industry, to raise his or her industry profile and to expand the boundaries of our knowledge in accounting and regulatory matters.
